Networking: Farm to TableWe create venues for dialogues about local food, celebrations welcoming new markets and businesses, and task forces to identify how local and state governments can help in the effort to create Flagstaff’s foodshed (local food system). We invite you to join us in working on this and to suggest other types of networking that you would like to see FFL do. Right now we are:
FundingWe bring funds to organizations and individuals working on our local food system. For the last several years, we have been making small grants to start gardens in schools. We also make grants to start community gardens when our funding permits. We seek and accept funds for local food projects that donors would like to see initiated. As a 501c3 non-profit we can administer projects funded through tax deductible donations as well as act as a non-profit partner in larger multi-agency and multi-partner grants. Current projects that we are funding include: the Youth Gardens, the new community garden being created by the City of Flagstaff, the soon-to-be-functioning Flagstaff Foodlink website to link groups and efforts concerning local food, and the gardening resource website.
