Community Gardens
City of Flagstaff Community Gardens
“The city recognizes the role that community agriculture has in promoting sustainable communities through providing locally grown food and building a strong sense of place. As a result, the City provides land for the development of community agriculture needs that benefit Flagstaff. “
The City's Sustainability Office manages plot registration, maintains the community garden sites, and leads educational programming located on City-owned property. This project serves to educate the community on how to grow food in Flagstaff's unique high elevation environment, arid climate and short growing season.
