Flagstaff Grower's COVID-19 Response
Our local growers are coming together to support one another and support the greater Flagstaff community. Health and safety percussion are being taken, and seeds are being sown with a wild hope for the future. Farmers are taking the extra mile to grow food for our community. Here are a few local farms COVID-19 responses:
-
Roots Micro Farm:
"Microgreen weekly CSA shares are now available!
Due to COVID-19, we are taking increased safety measures to ensure produce is accessible and safe. We will continue to grow and distribute produce during these uncertain times. In a time where going to the grocery store may be stressful, we hope to continue to provide our community with fresh produce to the best of our ability.
Cleanliness within our grow space is always a priority of ours, but we are taking extra care to maintain high sanitation and agriculture practices. We are doing this through increased hand-washing between tasks and frequent sanitization of all processing areas that come into contact with produce.
For CSA members who may be at higher risk, we are happy to drop off your CSA shares at your home during this important isolation period. Please contact us directly if you would benefit from drop-off service or any other accommodations."

Refugia Gardens:
"CSA shares are still available, with adapted pick-up options. Compost pick-ups are still happening, with extra precautions. Produce is growing, and we are scheming to get food into your hands in these times of “social distancing.” Mutual aid work flourishes; check in with your neighbors, family members, friends, the land.
We are offering sliding-scale CSA memberships according to income to better facilitate food access for low-income individuals and those affected disproportionately by structural violence.* Each income level will receive the same amount of produce according to your CSA selection. Solidarity/High-income shares will help fund Structural Violence/Low-income shares.
We will be holding two pick-up times for your weekly share: Thursdays 4-6 pm in Flagstaff (location to be announced) or Saturdays 2-4 pm at our self-serve farm stand in Timberline. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, we will also be offering deliveries to elderly and immunocompromised share members. Please reach out to us to work out doorstep delivery."
