Arizona Native Plant Society Talk: Seed Collection and Processing

Growing plants from seed is possible if you know the right tricks. Horticulturalist and educator Jan Busco will teach us when and how to collect seeds and how to process them for successful germination. Jan has 20 years’ experience with Western native plants as an environmental horticulturist, consultant, and educator. She has worked as a horticulturalist at Grand Canyon National Park, was the lead horticulturalist at the Arboretum at Flagstaff, is the director of the SLUGG garden at NAU, and is currently a research botanist at the Museum of Northern Arizona. She is the author of three books, Native Plants for High Elevation Western Gardens, How to Get Started in Southwest Gardening, and How to Get Started in California Gardening.

Arizona Native Plant Society talks are free and open to the public.
