Fruit Tree Workshop

Join us for a hands-on fruit tree demonstration project at the Bonito Street Community Garden on Wednesday, May 16th, from 5:30-6:30 pm. Learn about Flagstaff fruit trees with Hattie Braun of the University of AZ Coconino County Cooperative Extension and Bob Chambers with Terra BIRDS. This workshop will cover a general overview of high altitude orchards and basic principles of fruit tree care including site selection, soil health, pruning, and watering. We will also plant two apple trees grafted from local well established fruit wood into the Bonito Street garden orchard. This workshop is free. Please show up with closed toed shoes, gloves if you need them, and all your Flagstaff fruit questions.
